Should be a great, action packed fight this weekend. I give a slight edge to Sheika. What are your guy's thoughts on this fight?

Sheika should win this bout. If he decides to turn it on and off then on then off, it will be close again. But if he keeps turning it on, he may even get the knockout.

I was leaning on Sheika, but now that Buddy Mcgirt is going to be in his corner... I'm on his back.

Sheika by KO

Flip a coin. This isn't the type of fight that you bet on if you want to win in the long run.

Offered by 5Dimes:

Jan-23 5951 SHEIKA WINS INSIDE DISTANCE +190
10:00 PM 6951 SHEIKA WINS BY 12 RND DECISION +235
Jan-23 7951 PEMBERTON WINS INSIDE DISTANCE +320
10:00 PM 8951 PEMBERTON WINS BY 12 RND DECISION +475
Jan-23 9951 SHEIKA/PEMBERTON DRAW +2000
10:00 PM 9952 FIGHT NOT A DRAW -3000

Currently, Sheika is -170.

This strategy occurred to me: For every 170 wagered to win 100 on Sheika, one should wager 100 on Pemberton to win by Decision to win 475.

Less risk with a potential net of 305.

Pretty good idea because Pemberton can't KO Sheika. He CAN stop him on cuts though. If I were going to do something like that I would bet Sheika inside distance and Pemberton by decision.

WSEX has props up for this fight also. Pemberton to win by KO @ +500.

I think 5dimes is nuts to offer Pemberton to win by decision for +475. Foxwood is his town.

imo, sheika`s the more talented guy....and probably hit`s harder because he`s a "quicker puncher"....speed is power...

his problem is that he`s defenseless, loses focus, has no sense of pace in a fight and punches to wide...

sounds like alot of problems...

pemberton looks physically huge as as super middleweight.....but,although he has heavy hands, his punches are more thudding than snapping....

if buddy mcgirt can do some of the things with sheika that he did with gatti, sheika can become a pretty decent fighter.....much better than the old sheika....i think there`s real similarity between the 2 fighters.....maybe that`s why mcgirt decided to work with sheika...

the only downside to the proposed hedge,as valdosta stated,is sheika`s tendency to break up.....

again,pemberton has home field....but,pemberton `s around 37 yrs old....

if mcgirt has had some influence on sheika,he should win.....it`s hard to change a guy at this late date...i still believe that when gatti gets in with a live body,he`ll revert back to the old gatti...

i`m looking forward to the manfredo/davis bout.....

Heckuva fight, I had Pemberton in it. But no matter who you had, definitely you got your money's worth with these two guys.

I say have these two fight for the third time in the final ESPN fight in September.

As I mentioned earlier, you had to be crazy to bet this fight. It was to unpredictable. The LEAST likely thing that I thought would happen was Pemberton by KO. I thought Pemberton by decision was possible but not by KO. lol

that hedge would have bitten the dust big time....maybe i`ll leave wsex alone(lol)....

looked like sheika was either over trained,or didn`t get his road work in....he was thoroughly exhausted....much different from the first fight when he finished stronger....

stamina and tremendous recuperative power won the fight for pemberton..

it was a very difficult fight to call.......sometimes it`s better to just sit back and enjoy....

i see no gimme`s(as i said in another thread) this weekend....

tomorrow`s fights look to be fairly one-sided on paper....the duva`s getting opponents that are made to order to showcase their high profile talent....

be patient...stronger plays down the road....

I agree Sphinc, sometimes it's best to lay off. When you force stuff you lose.

I usually hate to give odds but I did take Martin Castillo when he opened at -300 at thegreek. It was a given
